Definition 

An application letter is a document that is sent to company leaders or recruiters to apply for jobs. This letter contains specific interests, qualifications, and experiences that are deemed relevant to fill the available job vacancies.

Function

application letter function for initial assessment of whether the applicant is suitable for the position needed and at the same time written proof that we are applying for the job.

 

How to write an application letter

Job Application Letter Structure

The structure of a job application including:

1. Opening

֎ Applicant information, which is the basic information of the sender of the letter. It contains full name, contact, and address.

֎ Date, which is the date on which the letter was written.

֎ Recipient information, namely information about the recipient of the letter. It contains the recipient's name, position in the company, company name, company address, and company contact.

֎ Greetings, which is a greeting to the recipient of the letter. Can greet with "Dear, Ms..."

1. Body

֎ Introduction. Fill in your full name, what your current position is (fresh graduate or job), what position you are applying for, and where did you get the locker info.

֎ Self-promotion. It's time to promote yourself as a suitable candidate for the position. This section consists of:

• Skills. Mention what skills you have during your work or organization.

• Achievements. Write down the achievements that have been achieved, but don't be grandiose. Just tell us about the obstacles you have faced in your previous organization or job, and how you have overcome them. Also write down the most doing the best in terms of what.

֎ Experience. Write about previous work or organizational experience.

• Value to the company. Describe what you can give the company to achieve its goals. This point can make companies interested in job applications.

֎ Conclusion. In this section, write a conclusion of what you want from writing the job application letter. The conclusion consists of:

• Expectations. Close the letter by saying the expectations of the company being applied for. Hope to be contacted back for the next step.

• Willingness to work. Show a willingness to be dedicated to the company.

֎ closing. This is the very bottom of the letter. In closing, you need to provide:

• Sign off. Can write "Sincerely," or "Yours sincerely".

• signature. Write your signature below the sign off. After that, write the bright name under the signature.

• Attachments. After everything I wrote above is done, attach your CV via attachments to send to the company.
